Pengertian sederhana kas kecil:
Dalam suatu perusahaan terkadang ada pengeluaran-pengeluaran yang sifatnya relatif kecil seperti perjananan dinas, biaya listrik, telpon, pembelian materai, biaya ftkopi, ongkos pembelian dan penjualan, dll yang nominalnya kecil. Nah, semua pengeluaran2 tersebut dimasukkan dalam suatu kas yang disebut dengan ‘kas kecil’.
Dalam metode pengisian saldo, kas kecil ada dua macam, yaitu kas kecil yang saldo (dana) nya tetap (imprest) dan pengisian saldo yang dananya berubah atau tidak sama seperti pada pembentukan awal (fluktuatif).
